First aid training

SKSS temple in Woolwich is providing First Aid at Work and Public Life Saver courses for the community.

Trainers:

Radhaben Harji, Kanti Chabhadia and Harish Bhudia are professionally trained to assess the course in English or Gujarati.

About the course:

Option of 2 days or 4 days course entailing theory and practical training.

Example:

  • How to treat conscious and unconscious casualty
  • CPR- Cardio Pulmonary resuscitation
  • Recovery position
  • Wounds and Bleeding
  • Minor Injuries
  • Suspected broken bones
  • Burns
  • Poison
  • Eye injuries
  • Other Illness
  • Record keeping
  • Use of first aid materials

To date there has been a 100% pass rate with courses having been held at

  • SKSS temple at Woolwich -11 candidates - 2 days course.
  • Oswa centre at Corydon – 15 candidates - 2 days course.
  • Swaminarayan temple at Stanmore 16 – 2 days course.
  • SKSS Temple Woolwich – 14 candidates – 4 days course.
